Toffee Apples

Ingredients

5 Apples

Bowl of Boiling Water

½ Cup Agave Nectar

½ Cup Xylitol

2 Scoop Vitafiber powder

30g Almond Butter

2 Scoop Bulkpowder’s Vanilla Whey

Topping (optional)

Roasted Nuts

Chia Seeds

Peanut Butter Chips

You will also need wooden sticks for the apples.

Directions

Place apples in bowl of boiling water, this is to remove the wax coating and to soften them up slightly.

Remove from water after approx. 5-10 mins and dry thoroughly. Remove storks and place wooden sticks into each and put in freezer while you make coating.

In a giant pan, add agave nectar and bring to the boil. Once it does, add powder vitafiber and stir until fully dissolved (sometimes takes a while). Then add xylitol and again stir until dissolved and bring it back to the boil.

Add almond butter, whey and mix well until you have a really thick consistency.

Leave aside to cool for 10-15 mins as your pan will remain hot for a while meaning your mix also will.

Once cooled, grab your apples from freezer and begin coating and placing on a lined tray or silicone sheet.

Tip: Placing them head first is easier than on their side.

Then with the remaining mix pour over the apples once again and put back in freezer to solidify.

You may also place in fridge to cool if you are not going to consume immediately.

Once cooled, proceed to enjoy this super sweet and decadent treat! Perfect for the autumn blues!

Note: Mix will be a little sticky, but trust us that it makes it taste all the better!
